Legal Blogs vs Websites

After doing some preliminary research, I have noticed that for blogs to be effective for lawyers, the must be regular updates to the legal blog. Google, Yahoo, and MSN actually will punish the blog if the content is refreshed on a regular schedule.
Legal Websites however, seem to age like fine wine. The longer they are out there the better exposure they get. I always recommend adding new content to a lawyer's website, but it is not as critical as a blog.
My recommendation is to have a website for sure, and a blog if you have a realistic chance of being able to create articles on at least a bimonthly basis.

Don't forget to submit your website to the free legal search engine / directory, www.targetlaw.com
